In honor of the United States Military, Classic Harbor Line and Turnstile Tours have teamed up to offer this special, in-depth tour of the military history of New York Harbor!
This 2.75-hour boat cruise will explore the military history of New York Harbor from the Revolutionary War to today, with special emphasis on the role of the port in World War II. We will visit historic military sites, monuments, and fortifications, including the Battery, Brooklyn Navy Yard, Brooklyn Army Terminal, Liberty Island, and other sites along the New Jersey, Brooklyn, and Staten Island shores.
We will also highlight some of the historic military vessels that call New York Harbor home, and learn about the role of the Navy, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine on our working waterfront today. The tour will include many stories of men and women who have worked and served on our waterfront during times of war, and this is a perfect way to learn more about the harbor’s history, and honor our service members, past and present.
The Manhattan yachts offer comfortable seating on an intimate classic yacht with un-obscured views for all! The back observatory is enclosed and climate controlled. Guests are welcome on the forward deck as well to soak in the sun and to score fantastic photographs of the city skyline.
